Sara Gallardo

Sara Gallardo was born in Buenos Aires in 1931. She was twenty-seven years old when she published her powerful debut, January, and by the time she died in 1988, she had published more than a dozen books, including collections of short stories and essays. January is considered required reading across Argentina.
