Matthew Shorter

Matthew Shorter’s literary translations have been published in The Common, Italian art magazine FMR, and Granta, where his translation of the essay-memoir by Héctor Abad Faciolince, The Poem in the Pocket, was published in spring 2019. He has also translated texts for museum exhibitions in Colombia and Panama. As well as his work in translation, he runs his own business as a digital strategist and is a jazz pianist and composer. Born in New York and raised in Edinburgh, he now lives in London with his Colombian wife and two sons.
