Ariel Dilon (Buenos Aires, 1964) is a writer, a journalist, a teacher, and the translator of more than a hundred English- and French-language books into Spanish, including works by such authors as Antonin Artaud, John Cheever, Stephen Dixon, Patricia Highsmith, J.M.G. Le Clézio, Henri Michaux, Cynthia Ozick, George Orwell, Raymond Queneau, Marcel Schwob, Philip Sollers, Muriel Spark, and Kurt Vonnegut. Since 2002, he has been leading creative writing and translation workshops at various institutions in Paris, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and elsewhere. He has been granted scholarships and attended translation residences in France, Switzerland, and Spain, as well as a writing residency in the north of France (Villa Marguerite Yourcenar, with his novel Hemisferio noche, which will be soon published). He hosts the YouTube series Ciclo Alta Traición, “a loyal literary conspiracy” focused on translation in interaction with other arts.
