María Josefina Barajas

María Josefina Barajas is a professor in the Department of Literary Theory and Criticism of the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where she researches and teaches classes on literary theory and criticism and on twentieth- and twenty-first-century Latin American literature, with a special focus on the crónica as literary journalism and the anthology as a textual form. She has published two books of literary theory and criticism on the crónica, as well as several articles on Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, and Latin American narrative and crónica. From 2018 to 2019, she was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese of the University of California, Irvine.
